This is detail from my latest large cross-stitch project. I finished it two nights ago. Such a relaxing hobby, I love it, but please don't let the image of it as a fuddy-duddy hobby put you off trying it. There are so many different styles and projects, you can sew anything, including the erotic arts. Here is the finished piece, just waiting for a wash, iron, and a frame.
I wish I could say this was designed by me, but no, I just followed a pattern by Country Needlecraft.

The photo's were taken for Sinful Sunday, I suspect cross-stitch is a first for it! Clickety click for sexy photos.
This immediately had me thinking of my own unfinished cross stitch project... but it is definitely not sinful at all. I love this image!

How long did it take you to complete that? It looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteMaybe about 100-150 hours, I'm not sure. I tend to do about 3 ish hours at a time. Sometimes everyday, but during crazy times I might not do any for months. That makes me sad though. I also have numerous projects going at a time, depending on what kind of stitching mood I am in.
DeleteBTW I have problems commenting on your blog, I keep trying every week, but it cuts me out. I sometimes have issues with TMI's blog too, but not always. I can never get yours to work for me. It is most peculiar. I do look at the photos though!
I love needlecraft...I could just sit for weeks on end with thread, yarn, hooks and needles and be a perfectly happy Ruby. Never thought to combine my love of sex and erotic images with the craft, though...well done!

Gorgeous and great job! It's been ages (probably 20 years) since my last cross stitch attempt. I think I should consider revisiting it if they have such awesome patterns about now.
